Make it impossible to place an IV route for an oral med. It happens!

Just had an order for LORazepam (ATIVAN) 1 MG TAB 0.5 MG IV PRN Q6H. This should not be possible.

    I agree with this. In Centriq, we had to put available routes on each medication and no other route could be chosen, unless Pharmacy was called before and it added. This is also beneficial on meds that are IM only, to prevent the med form being given IVP (as an example).
