I was really excited about this new functionality in order entry until I realized the only code status options are what is already available in the demographics code status dropdown box.
The order entry concept is great. However, it does not solve the problem of customizing the code status.
The Do not resuscitate option is not enough. We need to delineate whether the patient is a CC or CCA.
The field that I highlighted in the attachment, can this be a free text that populates to the ID panel.
The DNR-Comfort Care code status is available on release 22.00.00. We have also added the Modified Code option that allows the end user to select the life-saving measures desired by the patient during Order Entry.
