On the tool bar when in a lab result the provider has the ability to send a note but if they had secure messaging on the bar they could select secure message and send message straight to the patient instead of sending a note to the nurse to notify patient it would save time for both provider and nursing staff. Please see attached. It would be better if it was accessible on the demographics bar at all times no matter where the provider is at in the chart.
@Guest, One of our development teams did add the ability to fax, internal message (Mailbox) and text the Lab Results in 2024. Secure messaging via Communication Center has been removed. Would the preferred workflow be to send a message to the patient via the MCC portal?
