When we get a new ndc in, a lot of times we get the message "invalid ndc." In Centriq, you could go in Medispan and update a single medication. We didn't have to wait for the monthly update. Also, it would pull all of the info from Medispan such as formulary codes, AWP, etc, when we added the medication to the formulary. There is no reason that we should manually have to enter all of this and no reason why we can't update a single medication when we add a new one, new ndc, or need to do a price update.
We are identifying gaps with the web client / Tables / Item Master and populating additional data when creating a new medication in the formulary fits right in to my 2025 roadmap. What data should be pulled in?
AHFS formulary codes
AWP
DEA Class
Dose amount / unit of measure
