Need notification if Orders resulted, but no result delivery setup on provider

Since the system does not allow us to PREVENT staff from entering providers into a table, we need a fail safe in the system that will NOTIFY someone/somehow that a test was resulted, but that result delivery is NOT set up on the physician. This is a patient safety issue that keep reoccuring. This is from a situation opened regarding this in 2022:

Called Kim, we discussed scenario at site. Outside physician IS set in Phy tblbut no set up for report dist. Neither Registration nor lab would know if anything set in table unless they checked to verify. Results did not go anywhere and lab was not aware they were never sent. If no set up in Phy Tbl then report would not go anywhere and lab would not know to manually fax it out.Pt came in 1 year ago for labs and did NOT go back to phy until 1 year later and now phy asking for results but will have labs redrawn and patient wants money back for testing.
