We had a near miss on an immunization with a pediatric patient on 2/3/25 because this detailed age information did not clearly display in the EMR. The child was not 1 year (12 months) but was indeed 18 months. Huge difference in the immunization world. Please prioritize this for patient safety.
We had additional dicussion that the system should always show the age in years and months. This wouldn't require logic on peds but would show every patient in years/months. Such as 49 year 11 months so we could then run a report that that this patient is due for a preventative at age 50. Each would need to be a different field so we could run reports by year and/or by months and/or both.
