Share Vaccine Data Consent Added to Medication Administration

As part of Promoting Interoperability (MU) we must share patients' vaccine information with the state. Currently the Protect Immunization Data is in the Stay tab for Registration and Demographics for POC. We must obtain consent to share immunization data before the vaccine is administered. By placing the question on the Medication Administration page, nursing has the capability to change the consent at the point of vaccine administration. Positioning the question in a location that will promote compliance. Decreasing some of the responsibility from registration. At the time of admit, especially in the ED, registration clerks' focus is quick admit to decrease wait time. The information needs to have the capability to flow between locations and push out to the state.
