Our providers go from chart to chart a lot when a patient is being discharged from one service and admitted to another. This leads to providers entering incorrect information on the incorrect episode because they can't tell which episode they are on. We need to at least be able to see the service code in the id panel on an episode, but we should be able to see the stay type, sub-type, and service code in the ID panel like we can see it when we are selecting a patient on the whiteboard.
Could just do a census icon on the ID panel that links into the census.
Another idea is that the Order Entry of stay type be attached to these codes so it auto-changes them when the order is entered ie, admit to acute would change the stay type to Acute, sub type to acute, service code to acute, accommodation code to semi private acute.
@Guest, where would you envision seeing this information on the ID Panel? Would including it in a hover be acceptable rather than adding to the face of the ID panel?
