We currently have an icon to alert us to verify Orders but it only alerts/shows up when Med Orders are placed. It would be great if the icon would show up when Any New Orders are place ie: Q2Turns, Vitals, Dietary Orders, Wound Care, etc. This would help the nurses to be aware when New orders are placed during their shift.
The Behavior Control would be to DENY "Auto-Verify Nursing Orders" as this is allowed via the default RN and LPN Roles.
This should be in conjunction with the "Use 'Verify Nursing Orders'" option on Page 1 of POC Control Maintenance.
All orders will fall to the Verify Orders screen when placed through CPOE by a provider.
Nursing entered Medication orders fall to this screen by default.
You may set nursing entered Nursing Orders to require verification via a Behavior Control.
Nursing entered ancillary orders do not require additional verification and do not show in the Verify Orders area.
