Portal Accounts of expired patients to automatically disable access

We had a question from a hospice nurse about the patient's portal access after the patient passes away. We think that access should automatically be disabled. Sometimes when a person has a living will/DPOA the terms changed upon death of who can have access to the records. We just don't know how it would affect the shared accounts.
