patient demographic encounter data in HL7 message

We need more of the pt demographic encounter data to be in the HL7 message to automate our care boards. Currently will send Y or N for a few fields and those fields are no longer available in charts (ie advance directive). Our care boards are at least 75% manual because not all data (ie code status, isolation, fall risks etc) and even order types (ie nursing) are being sent in HL7s messages. The inability to send nursing orders via the interface also contributes to a lot of the manual entries (ie ADLs, assists, bathing, wound care, etc) .
