NYS: Need Place for inmate department identification number (DIN)

The NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) requires that the inmate's department identification number (DIN) be included on all forms returned to the correctional facility. We need a place in registration to log this number and have it display it in the header. We have already explored using this number to replace the MRN number, but this was not found to be an option as the DIN number changes with each incarceration. We tried adding this number to the first name field and then it cuts off the name d/t character limits. Due to character limits of 22, it also doesn't work using it as the middle character. We have opened multiple tickets ( 10249340 & 10270619 asking for assistance with this and haven't received any viable options.
