Creating and tracking referrals

The referral management needs a revamp. It is currently not user friendly for providers, nor is it easy for managers for to track volumes of referrals or open referrals. Where I came from, the EHR was simple when it came to referrals - the providers would be able to send a referral from the notes section and it would pull all the necessary information from the providers notes without having the provider do additional documentation. The referral would go to an 'inbox' within the EHR where several staff members had access to work the referrals and any staff that had access could see the status of the referral. We could run a report each month that showed how many referrals the providers had outgoing. It would be great if this was something we could do with this EHR.
