Reports for lab, XR

There needs to be more capabilities for running different kinds of reports for lab and XR data. We need more options than just an ad hoc report that we then manipulate in Excel. For example, I was just asked to find how many radiology reports were done during specific times/days and on the weekends. I had to run an ad hoc report and then do formulas, filtering, and sorting in order to get usable data. We need more capabilities to run statistical reporting on labs/XRs. There has to be an easier way.
