Revamp Clinic Inbox / Task Folders Functionality

We would like to see TruBridge TPEHR / Clinic Solution make the following upgrades:

  1. Combine internal messaging and clinician tasks within the same screen/queue that is surfaced well -

    1. We would like to see clinical staff all have a "Clinical Inbox" view that has each provider along with their charts that still need signoff, appt requests, patient cases, pending orders/rx requests/authorizations, lab and imaging results, incoming clinical documents, internal and portal messages, unknown, and follow up items. This way, clinicians can cover other users inboxes easily and they are not having to dig into "tasks" to check for results. They could just see a number of items in each category and click in to see those items. (See attached image for example of other systems that utilize this)

    2. Burying essential items in tasks is not ideal. Parcing out the internal messaging queue and notifications leaves clinicians having to search in multiple places to accomplish daily tasks and it does not provide a seamless workflow. EHR burnout could be greatly reduced by addressing this.

    3. Essentially, this would replace home screen folders.

  2. Leverage AI with Communication Center incoming e-faxes to direct to clinician-

    1. We would like to see the incoming electronic faxes utilize AI to sort the document to the appropriate provider. We currently have this functionality in our clinic with a different EHR and it greatly reduces administrative burden and clicks.

  3. Program logic that would intuitively figure what items a patient is due for based on age, gender, and annual needs of documentation

    1. Examples: Have a quality application that allows tracking of colonoscopies, mammos, BP checks, etc. Satisfy those as VS are documented or as documents are classified as mammos, etc or be able to manually enter date of completion. Then have a notification pop up on the chart when the patient is due for their next screenings and be able to pull reports on that as well. (See attached image for example)

  4. Documentation would be nice if rather than scrolling through the note and having to click on apps to add orders etc, if the visit could "flow".

    1. The nurse would do intake items and then the provider visit would walk them through HPI, then assessment and plan, then queue up orders (ability to write orders and rx within the same flow and it places those items into the note) and take them to charges before closing the note. No filter refreshing needed. If incomplete, it would place it in their inbox as needing to complete or sign off. Even better if Dragon/DAX CoPilot could sort its documentation to the appropriate note sections.

For background, we do no currently utilize TPEHR in the clinic and these are items that are holding us back from moving to TruBridge from our current vendor. I also truly believe that EHR burnout could be greatly reduced among clinicians by creating a more seamless and intuitive workflow for the patient clinic visit documentation process.
