Abnormal Vital Signs - statis vs dynamic warning

We discovered that when staff in the clinic chose to enter a patient chart via an account that was not checked in to a room, the vital signs did not display out of range in VS History.

This is very worrisome because it implies that the vital displaying red is dynamic and it should not be. This should be static and locked in at the time the VS are entered so that if the reference ranges change in the future the integrity of the VS historically does not change.

For data integrity purposes, please lock in the VS when they are entered so that the out-of- range warning is static and not dynamic based on the visit viewed through.
