Please find an EASY way to automatically drop charges for providers for E&M levels, procedures, etc throughout the clinics, hospitals, and ED. Right now we rely on paper charge sheets and someone has to do manual entry of these leading to any getting missed or delayed.
This should be available through your system as you provide a "complete" ER package in EDIS. It is lacking ER Provider charge process since no longer having providers in documentation. There is no place anywhere to document provider total time with patient (all CAH track this for cost reports to CMS). Even paper sheets would be helpful at this point since the E&M in charges is not connected to notes.
I agree that we shouldn't have to do this on paper. There should be criteria built in the system to help determine the E&M levels.
I need a paper charge sheet for ED provider level of care. If anyone has one that is not 20 years old please email it to me at jsartin@girardmedicalcenter.com. Trubridge- you are an EMR system ment to replace need for paper charting. This you lack in and is essential to replace what is outdated and cannot be used. You broke it when you took providers out of documentation and put them into notes, now you need to fix it.
Will this ever be updated to this centuries technology??? I have been using CPSI since 2001 and this has been a VERY limited feature, if you want to count E&M for those that had the Documentation App
