What I do is use the # sign and enter to remove the term date, then go back to page 1 of the item master and change the 'N' to 'Y' in the activate field. No need for a future date in the term field on page 2, that just means when you reach that future date the item will go inactive again.

Cant you just put in a # in that field to erase it?
