change the use of the phrase deactivated allergy

Keflex for example is no longer in the look up for allergies. However, for the patients that already have Keflex as an allergy, they now state Keflex (Deactivated allergy). This is causing confusion for users. Most users are thinking deactivated allergy means it is no longer recorded as an allergy. This wording should be changed. Also, once we explain that it means that it is no longer in the allergy look up table, the question is then asked is it still capturing in clinical monitoring.

@Guest Thanks for your idea. We are currently working with development to determine if there is a better label for allergies that have been marked obsolete in the Merative allergy file. You are correct that a deactivated allergy is simply an allergy that can no longer be added as a new allergy to a patient. In the case of Keflex, this is due to the drug being withdrawn from sale per FDA Published Document: 2011-8617 (76 FR 20357). This allergy will, however, still trigger clinical monitoring.
