In Clinical History, we have the option to add a Note to a document/result. This opens in the Communication tab and opens the New Message screen. We would like this to open the New Request screen. This way the recipient also gets the patient's phone number reducing the need for the user to navigate away from the message to find the patient's call back number.
See the changes in 22.02.00 where we have combined the New Message and New Request screens so all information is available and the user can select a radio button for Request, Message, and Refill Request.
In 22.03 we are looking to improve the Add Message/Add Request button functionality so that a new message is create within the same thread when in a message. In the same way the New Message button will always create a new message thread.
Everything needs to be a request, because someone in the line of communication is going to need to reach out to the patient and need that phone number.
While programming this change, can the Add Message and Add Request be removed from current request/message. It creates a new message thread if clicked which only confuses all staff. You should only be able to Reply or Forward.
